PASTORAL CARE

Whakatauki:

Hutia te rito o te harakeke, kei hea ra te komako e ko

Whakatairangatia rere ki uta, rere ki tai

Ki mai koe ki ahau he aha te mea nui o tenei ao

Maku e kii atu, he tangata, he tangata, he tangata

Maori Proverb:

Strip away the centre shoots of the flax bush where will the bell bird sing

Let it be known across the seas and into the hinterland

You may ask me what is the most important thing on this earth

and I will answer you; It is people, it is people, it is people

I believe in God the Eternal Father and in His son Jesus Christ and in the Holy Ghost.

I believe the Bible to be the word of God so far as it is translated correctly.

I have been an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for over 11years and hold the Melchizedek Priesthood, and we claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may.

At the request of the whanau Ministering Services can be all in Te Reo Maori or a mix of Te Reo Maori and English.

Karakia and waiata using my own guitar is standard practise.

Tangihanga or funerals:

To provide comfort and support to whanau going through the grieving process.  I will attend whether at home, hospital, hospice etc....

Illness:

To bring reassurance and comfort to a loved one and their whanau.
